Beautifully incorporated with the Erwin pattern, we have not been able to identify which Sanitary Cafe might have used this creamer.

The term "sanitary" was in popular use in the early 20th century as a way to imply to customers that a restaurant's facilities were very clean. Hamburger restaurants like White Castle, White Tower and White House, to name just just a few examples, were at the forefront of this trend, with their white tiled buildings. So it's interesting that this Sanitary Cafe opted for a Glo-Tan body for its china rather than what would be thought of as a cleaner white!
