I’ve never seen this children’s pattern by Scammell before, but it’s a lovely overglaze mix of chicken, pig and kangaroo. It is 4” across, including the handle, and 3 ½” high. It was likely used as a hot chocolate mug, and its backstamp would indicate use from around 1931 to the 1940s.

It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It has light-to-medium use marks, a little bit of discoloration on the rim and foot, and there’s one area (shown in a photo) that has a bit of uneven glazing.
