The Deshler Wallick Hotel was built at Broad and High Street in Columbus, Ohio, between 1915 and 1916, and these early pieces from the hotel would have been ordered from Scammell China in 1927, based on the distributor's backstamp on the plate.
The cake cover, with the hotel’s DW monogram, is 5 ¾” in diameter and is in excellent condition, with only a couple of scuffs and light use marks. I’m including the pie plate, which is 7 ¾” in diameter, only because of its hotel backstamp, but as you can see in the photos, the plate itself has heavy use marks and is badly faded. It does, though, make a nice presentation with the cover. (If the buyer would prefer, I can keep the plate and refund any shipping overcharge for the cake cover by itself.)
