This unique plate in black and red design is decorated in a Native American motif with the Indian silhouette, peace pipes and crossed arrows with a Southwestern rug design in the background. It comes from the Blackhawk Hotels chain that was founded in 1929 and had hotels including the Blackhawk Hotel in Davenport, Iowa, the Davenport Hotel, also in Davenport, and the St. Paul Hotel in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Condition is excellent with only light-to-medium use marks. At an angle you can see myriad tiny glaze pops in the burgundy red border, but they don’t distract from how beautifully the plate displays.
