Tony Romano has been referred to as the “Steven Spielberg of the food business,” spending his career building restaurants and selling them, only to move on to open more. Romano’s 300 in Palm Beach, Florida, was his first foray into fine dining. After making the surf-and-turf-style restaurant into a huge success, he went on to sell it and all his restaurant holdings and eventually started to focus on family style eating, including Fuddruckers and later the Macaroni Grill.
