Very collectible pink ribbed flip-top bowl will do heavy duty in your kitchen for sugar, salt, garlic bulbs or M&Ms and then transform itself into a lovely low vase for a specimen gardenia, lily or rose. It is 4 5/8” in diameter and about 3” high, not including the knob.
Condition is excellent! The lid, as always has condition issues, though minor as compared to many flips. The lid is shiny, though there are myriad scratches and marks from repeated use, abuse and cleaning.
The glass is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips; it has more of a satin finish than most flips, as if the pink enamel has been dulled a bit by harsh cleaning. The base has an impressed mold mark, a 1.
The Akro Agate Company was located in Clarksburg, W.V. and is known in part for its slag glass, children's play sets and marbles.
