I was just looking at some beautiful Pinterest pages featuring mint green as the decorating color of the year before I sat down to write the description for this flip, and there is was: a rich, mint, Jadeite-looking green. These Medco bowls are an opaque white base glass with their color fired on. This has long been my favorite of their colors, mainly because it does coordinate so well in a kitchen with other glass that is actually Jadeite, though I think it tends to be a bit brighter.
This is the larger (and harder-to-find) size of the Medco flips: 5 ½” by 4 7/8” high. It is in excellent condition, with a beautiful satin finish that does show some light scuffs. See the photo below with a light shining through it.
The lid is shiny with the expected all-over scratches and a slight indentation across from the knob where it has dropped back on the lid thousands of times. There is also a small circular arc on top that is likely from having another flip stored on top of it.
The knob is secure and the lid opens very smoothly.
