Very collectible clear flip-top bowl will do heavy duty in your kitchen for sugar, salt, garlic or M&Ms and then transform itself into a lovely low vase for a specimen gardenia, lily or rose. It is 4 5/8” in diameter and about 2 3/4” high, not including the knob.
Condition is excellent! The lid, as always has condition issues, though minor as compared to many flips. There is a semi-circular rub mark in back of the knob that you can see in the photos, and of course there are light, overall scratch marks from repeated scrubbings.
The glass is shiny with no cracks or chips. The base has an impressed mold mark, a 4.
The theory now is that Akro Agate did not make the glass bowls but that Hazel-Atlas did. It was located like Akro Agate in Clarksburg, W.V. To learn more, click here to visit my website. Its lid was manufactured by Medco.
